Buy.com launched new apps for Android and iPhone today with the goal to improve the mobile shopping experience for shoppers this holiday season through a special consumer rewards program. The company says that shoppers can earn rewards by using various functions, such as creating an account, viewing daily deals and making product comparisons, on the new Buy.com Android and iPhone applications. The company plans to add more ways for consumers to earn points during the holidays.
The new Buy.com apps also come with a brand new design that seamlessly integrates checkout and order tracking into mobile purchases. The app also allows shoppers to save items they wish to purchase later, and includes an option to search by text, voice and image.
To entice shoppers to try the Buy.com mobile app during the Thanksgiving weekend, the company is giving away a reward of $500 in Super Points to 10 winners who download the app and try the scanner functionality on Black Friday. New users of the app will also receive $1 in rewards for each scan; up to 5 scans max for trying the mobile app on Black Friday.
