Cloud Infrastructure Provider Hexagrid Strengthens Leadership in IaaS Space with New Partnerships
Hexagrid is steadily broadening its footprint in the cloud IaaS market. The cloud enablement solutions provider entered into two new partnerships this week, and introduced new Unovie versions of its IaaS platform at Interop IT conference in Mumbai, India.
Hexagrid has signed a technology partnership agreement with Boston Limited, a leading distributor and integrator of server and storage solutions, to offer complete pre-packaged IaaS clouds as an optimized solution delivery model that advances and simplifies the adoption of private cloud.
The two companies co-engineered bundled private clouds for optimal hardware utilization, speed-to-market cloud delivery, and remotely managed-service capability all pre-configured for unparalleled plug-in-and-go performance. The partnership will simplify private cloud adoption as Boston Limited integrates Hexagrid’s Infrastructure as Service software for solution providers to deliver as either a hosted-private or on-premise private cloud.
The Hexagrid-Boston Partnership currently offers two cloud configurations based on power optimized Supermicro hardware, including the eight-node MicroCloud and the four-node Boston Quattro, which both include clustered file storage and remote management capabilities.
Hexagrid has also entered in a non-exlusive partnership with data center provider Telx to enable Telx’s managed service provider and enterprise colocation customers in its 15 Cloud Connection Centers to build customized cloud environments with Telx interconnection services and Hexagrid’s innovative cloud computing platform.
The Telx-Hexagrid private cloud solution enables IT organizations to virtualize and manage commodity hardware as public, private or hybrid clouds with Hexagrid’s VxDatacenter cloud platform. According to Hexagrid, VxDatacenter virtualization improves IT infrastructure utilization from the average 15% to over 85%, maximizing the value of capital IT investments. The partnership will enable MSPs and enterprise cloud owners to remotely customize their hosted private cloud environment while improving security and performance with the private interconnection and colocation services of Telx.
Also this week, Hexagrid announced new Unovie versions of its award-winning Infrastructure as a Service platform, which were built to simplify and streamline service provider deployment of private cloud solutions for small to medium (SMEs) and distributed enterprises.
According to Hexagrid, these businesses demand private cloud security and control with public cloud standardization and affordability, and a Unovie cloud offering facilitates service provider satisfaction of these needs. Unovie cloud modules arrive ready to plug-in-and-go as an immediate business-ready Infrastructure as a Service package. Hexagrid’s Unovie software packaged with pre-certified hardware, offers service providers and business end-users a fully functional private cloud straight out of the box.
