DescriptionWe're looking for a senior UI designer and interaction expert to join our fast-growing San Francisco team that is looking to expand our clients offering to multiple platforms and revolutionize document management. You will report to the VP of Product Engineering and be responsible for the experience a user has when interacting with any aspect of the product and for building a consistent look and personality across functional domains (from desktop to website to mobile platforms). What you'll be doing:

- build the best personal document management experience across various platforms
- drive design and interaction decisions
- hands on low to medium fidelity prototyping (e.g. take design from wireframes to working HTML+CSS+JS interaction prototypes)
- help define key usage metrics
- learn about user through a combination of observed user behavior and user interviews and use it to inform our product vision
- coordinate user testing
- deliver PSDs to developers
- work with developers to implement pixel-perfect design
- act as a creative lead as well as a UX lead (i.e. work with the team to take ideas from wireframe concepts to ready-to-implement PSDs)

What we're looking for:

- a partner in revolutionizing document management user experience
- guidance and expertise to influence product evolution
- 5+ years of experience with UI and interaction design
- start-up experience and ability to multi task, define your own role and help wherever necessary
- someone who can help distill the vision into a working prototype and then evolve that to a product serving millions
- experience overseeing sub-contracting to get UI comps delivered & generally overseeing creating work
- ability to move fast and distinguish signal from noise in everyday work life
- extensive experience with agile development and how appropriate design input shortens dev cycles
- experience with metric-informed approach to improving user experience and is accustomed to running A/B tests, looking at cohort behavior
- passion - and lots of it

Traits that will distinguish the ultimate candidate:

- experience with desktop, web and mobile productivity applications
- proven track record of creating commercial software used at a large scale
- experience with designing for Freemium user experience
- optimizing user behavior for virality
- killer UI and UX portfolio that speaks for itself
