Windows Phone Marketplace Reaches 50,000 App Milestone

Microsoft’s mobile app marketplace has surpassed 50,000 app submissions, according to All About Windows Phone blog. This number may not seem significant when compared to the number of apps in the Android Market or Apple’s App Store but still it is a sign of growth for the Windows Phone Marketplace which added 10,000 apps in little over a month.

UC Berkeley Selects Google Apps Over Microsoft Office 365 for Cloud Email

The University of California at Berkeley recently made a decision to depart from its old email system CalMail due to the system outages and has selected Google Apps over Microsoft’s Office 365 for its campus email and calendar services. In an official statement, Berkeley officials said that after an extensive evaluation process the university decided to move its entire campus community to Google Apps for Education Suite during 2012.
